We are surrounded by darkness. We are able to discover night everywhere: in a weird natural stone imprinted with mystical icons; in a small-town's yearly picnic; in a ghostly home that's easy to enter although not so easy to go away; behind the dumpster in the street where a harpy lives; inside The Nowhere, a location where vehicle tips, gadgets, people vanish to; among Polar visitors; and, most surely, within ourselves. Night jigs from mystical cages; flickers between us in the cinema; and encompasses kids whose night-lights have disappeared. Night crawls in the past and is waiting within our potential; and often there is an opportunity that Halloween is indeed a door-opening straight into limitless shadow.
