Description

The Civil War has ended, and national authorities and Union troopers took control of Texas as Rusty Shannon trips to his house to the Colorado River. Like a kid he was a hostage of the Comanche, like a son a happy person in a company defending settlers from Indian raids. Shannon's destiny is connected with the child accompanying him: Andy Pickard, herself but lately saved from Comanche captivity and as Badger Child recognized by his captors. Tx is in turmoil, overwhelmed with murderous outlaws, lawmen demanding fines from assumed former nightriders, Confederates, and the ever-dangerous Comanche rings.
